SciArc.edu … is a Commarts Webpick. Yet another project Jason worked on while at Hello Design — The site is also a Webby Nominee under the school category. Others that worked on this project: Ron Thompson and Anna Simonse.
Since we are putting things together in a more formal fashion for the upcoming site, and no previous work is on the current iteration of the site, we thought we would share some older screens from the past. There are a few recent project screens as well …
Read MoreWWL just launched an all inclusive mini site for Twiss Creative Consulting — full site expected this summer. We also designed the Twiss logo (circa 2003) and new business cards + collateral — yes, a shameless plug for our work, but also a plug to help spread the word for a really intelligent group of people.
Just a line drop for the last project Jason worked on with Hello Design …
Land Cruiser 2008 is live.
Two experience selections showcasing the all-new Land Cruiser in environments it was designed for. From Western Austrailia to the Yukon, the Land Cruiser is the main character in these two mini-narratives that feature photo galleries, video, and crew perspectives from on-location shoots. A small history of the Land Cruiser is also available.
Land Cruiser was also was a winner at The FWA upon it’s initial soft-launch in December 2007.
WWL is proud to announce the ”soft-launch” of the new Blind.com.
The plan: create a super simple structure to showcase their outstanding work in a larger format than previous iterations of the site. Collaborating closely with Chris Do (Blind’s CCD), WWL designed an image-driven, SEO friendly, extensible site structure backed with Median (WWL’s custom CMS — Content Management System), allowing Blind to control all aspects of the site’s content (Flash, XHTML, XML, RSS).
* WWL has been working with Blind since redesigning blind.com in 2003 (as WonderBureau).Radar Magazine has updated the popular ”Fame-o-meter” with new names, and ”data sets”. What does this mean for you? Well, more pop culture tracking madness really.
* WWL has worked with Radar Magazine since 2005. Designing and Developing three versions of the Fame-o-meter, Dynamic Flash Quiz and Polling systems, as well as the short lived Fifteen Minutes application. Our internal CMS/ FMS : "Median" is taking yet a new direction. We are looking into converting the core framework to CodeIgniter ... after playing around and looking through the source, it seems to be right up our alley.
We will still continue to support older versions, but all internal development is on hold while we prepare the jump.
We haven’t posted anything for a while … this is because we are super busy at the moment. Currently, we’re working on new stuff for Bl:nd, Hush, and Mo/de.
WWL would also like to give big thanks to Michael Small from Radar Magazine for his attention to detail – He will be leaving the magazine for bigger and better things. Good luck Michael!
Finally, Autolux released a long awaited new track … ”Audience No. 2”, and we’ve had it on repeat for a while now. Blissful noise pop makes us just as happy as melancholy noise in general. Ahh, wonderfulheadhurt! (sorry had to say it)
True, we do want to be your friend. Add us to your Wii address book - so we can do all of the fun things friends do. Maybe we’ll both have free time and race our @$$'s off in Mario Kart for Wii too.

Since tax day is over - whew - we thought it would be a good time to take a breath and write about what we’re up to and what we’ve been up to so far this year.
First off all, we’ve been super busy. We launched the new Blind site - which you should check out because their work is incredible and Chris Do is one of the best people you’ll ever meet.
Collaborating with Mike Tomko, we launched TuneJar - a new music site dedicated to the artist and the industry professional.
Throwing some Flash out, Toby Pederson Photography (designed by Vanessa from Blind) was launched late 07, but we should mention it again simply because his work deserves it.
We also made some updates to Radar Magazine’s Fame-o-meter, and their dynamic quiz.
Currently, we’re working on new projects for Twiss, Steve Diamond, new features for Blind and TuneJar AND we are anticipating three new projects for some seriously cool companies/people to kick off very soon. Needless to say, we’re happy … very happy, and wide awake. The coffee keeps flowing and the cobbler’s children have no shoes (see wwl website).
Don’t forget to say hey now and then!
Jason here at WhenWeLand and Koh Suwa are once again working on a their Okorange project. We can’t release much info as it is fairly secret. However, it appears that the resurrection of Okorange will involve great things.
While we haven’t really advertised our Internal CMS system ’Median’, we have been developing it internally …
Read MoreWe’re sure most people in our industry know about it already, but we just can’t say how much we enjoy Processing. We are working on new experiements and hope to post them to the site in the upcomming months (as soon as we have some time).
Flash In The Can (FITC) is coming up again in Toronto. WWL is proud to announce that Jason will be a judge for the FITC Awards for his 4th consecutive year. Submissions are open if you are so inclined.
David Lynch does the weather? Jason is going to style his hair after Mr. Lynch and you will love it.
Today is the day. Did we get up early for it? No. Engadget has a blow by blow if you’re interested.
So far, New MS Office, New Airport extreme with a hard drive, ITunes movie rentals, and the new Macbook Air are showing face. Apple …
The best news should be the update to the iPhone — coming sometime today via software. No more jailbreak for custom app layout + multiple screens + more.
Friend of WWL, Adhemas Batista updated his folio and we are glad to see the new works and you should be too.

We’re always looking for animators, designers, technologists, developers, and project managers (freelancers welcome). Send your resume with folio urls.
New Year, New Site. More is on the way, we just couldn’t wait any longer. At least now you can see what we’re up to until the rest of the site is wrapped up. Busy, busy …
